Carol Shelton Rendezvous Rose 2008

Carol Shelton, Mendocino County, Rendezvous Rose 2008 The nose is vibrantly fruity, evocative of fresh raspberries and herbs. In the mouth it is dry and fruity, with a little warmth.  The RS adds some weight, filling our the wine and amplifying the fruitiness. The organically grown grapes are all Carignane sourced from the Cox Vineyeard. After crushing the fruit there is a cold maceration for 3.5 days. Then a bit of the pink juice is bled away to ferment seperately in stainless steel. RS is just 3 grams per litre and the bottle is topped with Stelvin for safety.

Proprietors Carol Shelton and Mitch Mackenzie. Winemaker Carol Shelton. Vinted and bottled in Sebastopol 13.0% $11.99 at Bottle Barn Carol Shelton Wines
