Deux Montille Babilleres 2006

Deux Montille, Chambolle-Musigny, “Les Babilleres” 2006 This is a very refined Burgundy, showing the charm associated with the appellation and the skillful winemaking of Alix. The acidity is a hallmark, encasing the cherry fruit along with an elegant mouthfeel.

Tasted again in July 2010, the expression of Pinot is this wine a delight and while one could age it longer it is in a very nice zone of enjoyment right now.

The grapes for this wine were sourced from Les Babilleres, situated between Les Charmes and the N74. Winemaker Alix of the famous De Montille family. Mis en bouteille a Volnay. 12.5% $53.99 at Bottle Barn
