Franciscan, Napa Valley, Magnificat 2006 The nose exudes sweetness with ripe berries and vanilla. In the mouth, structure joins the fruit to create a food-friendly wine – nice. The grapes behind this wine are 56% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, 3% Malbec and 1% Petit Verdot grown in Oakville. The wine spent 18 months aging in French oak. Ecluse, Paso Robles, Ensemble 2006 The nose features Cassis and sweet brown spices. In the mouth currants and blackberries come through, with ripe tannins and moderate weight.
