Domaine Hauvette Blanc de Blancs 2006

Domaine Hauvette, Vin de Pays des Alpilles, Blanc de Blancs 2006 The nose features sweet floral notes with peaches, nectarines and a bit of poire eau-de-vie. In the mouth it is soft, lowish in acidity and very lush with a hint of the poire’s warmth in the background.

The grapes at the domain are grown biodynamically and the Blanc de Blancs features 40% Clairette, 35% Marsanne and 25% Roussanne. The wine is fermented in wood and aged 12 months on the lees.

Mis en bouteille au domaine a St-Remy-de-Provence 13.5% 27 euros for the previous vintage at the winery. A media sample, availability of either vintage is scarce as total production at the domaine is only 30,000 bottles annually.
