Huet Clos du Bourg Moelleux 2002

Domaine Huet, Vouvray, Clos du Bourg, Moelleux, Premiere Trie 2002 The nose sports minerality and citrus and the mouth is vivaciously alive, singing with acidity and joined in a chorus with flavors of tangerine and pineapple. This is certainly not as sweet as many wines that you might take with dessert. With its balance of acidity, this wine is not cloying. There’s a freshness to it and it’s actually quite youthful six years on. Think of pairing this with more lightly sweet treats for dessert, like fresh strawberries, simply as they are. The estate is certified biodynamique by Demeter and the grapes for this special dessert are all Chenin Blanc. Mis a Buissee a Vouvray 12.5% $53.99 at the Wine Club Domaine Huet
