Lucia Lucy 2009

Lucia Vineyards & Winery, Santa Lucia Highlands, Lucy, Rose of Pinot Noir 2008 This deeply colored Pinot rose has the scent of strawberries and raspberries – very fresh indeed. In the mouth the fruit continues to shine with a creamy, rounded texture – nice.

We first tasted this at the Wine Emporium in Sebastopol on Friday evening, during one of their quarterly open houses featuring the latest artist and live music. Today my notes are drawn from a delicious lunchtime pairing with Linda’s freshly made tomato and goat cheese tart, hot from the oven.

Produced and bottled in Santa Rosa by the Pisoni family 14.1% purchased for $18 at the Wine Emporium in Sebastopol Lucia Vineyards
