Foppiano Rose 2009

Foppiano, Russian River Valley, Estate Bottled, Rose 2009 The nose features flowers, candied red fruits and a bit of bubble gum. In the mouth the fruit shows nicely, the acidity is mild and the palate is broad. It is reminiscent of a rose from the southern Rhone, like Mordoree’s Tavel – very nice.

The grapes behind this wine are 55% Petite Sirah and 45% Pinot Noir. The wine was aged in neutral French oak for 6 months. The wine is bottled under a screwcap closure. Grown, produced and bottled in Healdsburg 14.2% $15 at the winery, a media sample.
