Quite youthful at this point, with nuttiness and cedar, earthiness and fruit on the ground. In the mouth this wine is still packed with flavor and the structure is still vivid. Leroy, Volnay, Champans 1er Cru 1999 Cherries, dried cherries, fennel and chicory meld in a mix of fruit and interesting green from the spice cupboard.
