Power to the Pinot!

Artesa, Carneros, Estate Reserve, Pinot Noir 2006 Artesa has been making some great wines and has shown greater success with their still wine program. This is a light-bodied, red fruit expression of Pinot with the warmth of alcohol. Winemaker David Dobson. P&B in Napa, 14.3% $50 at the winery Artesa

David Bruce, Santa Rita Hills, Pinot Noir 2004 This legendary producer from above Los Gatos has been crafting Pinot from many of the best appellations in the state. This particular Pinot has lots of dried fruit and sweet smells. It’s frankly quite port-like, which is atypical but tastes great. There’s a lusciousness to the palate that sits on an acidic frame. P&B in Los Gatos. 14.9% $45 at the winery David Bruce
