Pahlmeyer Red 2006

Pahlmeyer, Napa Valley, Red Wine 2006 In the nose the fruit is quite sweet and ripe, reminiscent of Cassis accented with vanilla and brown spices. In the mouth this Bordeaux-style blend is ripe and approachable, quite silky and ready to drink without delay – very nice.

The grapes behind this wine are 81% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Franc, 2% Petit Verdot and 1% Malbec. Winemaker Erin Green. Produced and bottled in Oakville 15.2% $105 at the winery, a gift to the class from one of the students. www.pahlmeyer.om
