Trione new releases

Trione, Russian River Valley, River Road Ranch, Pinot Noir 2008 In the nose you’ll find sweet red fruit with pastry notes, think cherry pie, warm and aromatic. In the mouth you’ll find a supple expression of that cherry pie, absolutely luscious. The fruit is sourced from a vineyard that the Trione’s have owned for over 30 years. This was one of the first wines made at the new winery. Produced and bottled in Geyserville 14.2% $35 at the winery.

The wine was fermented in open top fermenters with punch downs and a directed effort to add air. Scott says that this allows the full expression of the fruit and eliminates the reductive characters that one can often find with the wines made from this grape. Produced in Sebastopol and bottled in Geyserville 14.9% $38 at the winery.
