Kendall-Jackson Stature 2001

Kendall-Jackson, Napa Valley, Stature 2001 There’s a nice ripe structure to this wine, giving it chewiness and the acidity to frame the still quite youthful fruit – nice. The grapes behind this Bordeaux blend are about 2/3 Cabernet Sauvignon and 1/3 Merlot with a little bit of Petit Verdot, Malbec and Cab Franc. The wine was aged for 19 months in French oak, 74% of which was new. Vinted and bottled in Oakville 14.5% $120 at the winery for the current release ’04, this cellar selection is a gift to the class from the SFCWC Kendall-Jackson Vineyards & Winery
