Diamond Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon

Stonegate, Diamond Mountain District, Napa Valley, Spaulding Vineyard, Reserve, Cabernet Sauvignon 2004 This wine delivers chocolate wrapped in black fruits with a healthy dusting of oak on a big structure. The acidity carries the flavors a long way and while this would benefit from a long sleep in the cellar it is accessible now, especially if you have a lamb chop handy. The vineyard is situated at 1200 feet elevation. Produced & bottled in Napa 14.5% $60 at the winery and a gift from the SFCWC.

Graeser, Diamond Mountain District, Napa Valley, Estate Bottled, Coeur de Leon 2003 This wine features tart fruits, like cranberries, with a fair amount of grip. P&B in Calistoga 13.1% $65 at the winery and a gift to the class from the SFCWC Graeser Winery
