Honig Cabernet 2005

Honig, Napa Valley, Cabernet Sauvignon 2005 I’ve long been a fan of Honig’s wines and the fairness of their pricing. This Cabernet has structure to hold up the fruit, showing California ripeness with the a chewiness and long acidity – very nice. 3% Petit Verdot and 2% Cab Franc round out the grapes in this wine. The wine was aged in American oak for 18 months, one third of which was new. Produced and bottled in Rutherford 14.5% $40 for the current ’06 release, a gift to the class from the SFCWC Honig Vineyard & Winery
