embruix de Vall Llach 2005

Vall Llach, Priorat DOQ, Embruix 2005 The nose features a sweetness, black fruits with blackberry jam. In the mouth the sweet theme continues, with very ripe, jammy fruit, density yet suppleness, warmth, a bit of tannin and lowish acidity, a sense that this wine came from the New World, but it didn’t. The grapes were Garnacha, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah, sourced from young vines, 6-12 years old. 50% of the wine was aged in 2nd and 3rd use French oak. Bottled in 2007 in Porrera 15.5% $28.99 at Bottle Barn Vall LLach
