Triennes Viognier 2007

Domaine de Triennes, Vin de Pays du Var, Sainte Fleur, Viognier 2007 This wine sings the Viognier song as if from the New World. The nose features fresh flowers and fruits and quite a perfume. In the mouth this freshness carries through with a component we cherish so much in the wines of the Old World, and that is acidity. So this wine isn’t as unctous as many will find on this side of the Atlantic yet I think a superb balance has been struck here – a wine that a diplomat, tasked with finding common ground and a bridge between disparate approches, could be proud of. Mis in Nans-les-Pins in Provence 13% $14.99 at Bottle Barn Triennes
