Kendall-Jackson Riesling 2007

Kendall-Jackson, California, Vintner’s Reserve, Riesling 2007 Stone fruits come to mind when you raise this glass, a sense of peaches and apricots. In the mouth the apricot flavor is delightful, augmented by the residual sugar and balanced by the acidity. Besides the Riesling there is 9% Gewurztraminer and Muscat Canelli in the blend. The fruit was sourced mostly from Monterey County. The residual sugar is 2.2%. Vinted & Bottled in Santa Rosa 13.0% $13.09 at 71 South Wine & Spirits Kendall-Jackson Vineyards & Winery

This is April 2010 and we found a bottle in a box on the floor(tile) and we jumped into the spa and opened it. It was great. Very sweet and smooth. More of a desert wine.

Glad you enjoyed it Len – I did too. The fruit and the RS work in a synergistic way to make the sweetness seem even more so. Cheers! RJ
