Pago de Carraovejas 2006

Pago de Carraovejas, Ribera Del Duero DO, Crianza 2006

The previous vintage of this wine was quite substantial. In the ’06 the ripeness of the fruit really shows in the nose and the mouth meets that with ample structure for aging. The estate is planted to approximately 75% Tempranillo and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and a little Merlot. This vintage the final blend is 85% Tempranillo, 10% Cabernet and 5% Merlot. The wine is aged in both French and US oak, one third of which is new. P&B in Penafiel in Valladolid 15% $38.99 at Bottle Barn  Pago de Carraovejas
