Robert Oatley Pinot Grigio 2008

Robert Oatley, South Australia, Pinot Grigio 2008

This is 100% Pinot Grigio; most of the grapes were sourced from Currency Creek, south of my alma mater Adelaide and a bit came in from the Alpine Valleys of Victoria. Production was all stainless, the final RS is 4 g/l and the wine is bottled under the upscale Stelvin Lux.robert-oatley-pinot-grigio

This aromatic Pinot Grigio features sweet floral notes, spicy green herbs and fresh grapefruit in the nose. In the mouth it is refreshing and fruity, with a slightly creamy character that takes off the austere edge associated with many of the wines made from this grape – delicious. P&B in Mudgee, NSW 13.5% $18 suggested US retail.
