Louis Latour Marsannay 2006

Louis Latour, Marsannay, Rouge 2006 There’s a mix of cherries and a light greenish character in the nose. In the mouth the acidity is quite sharp and the red fruits are overlayed with astringency. While the fruit must not have been fully ripe, it does come through enough for the price. That said, the class was not impressed. It is sometimes a fault of mine to be forgiving about green characters in Burgundy and am quickly reminded by my students in San Francisco that they do not want to buy wines like that. Mis en bouteille a Beaune 13% $14.99 at Bottle Barn Maison Louis Latour
