De La Montanya Pinot Noir 2005

De La Montanya, Sonoma Coast, Flying Rooster Ranch 2005
This wine shines with sweet smells.  There’s candied fruit and perfume overlayed with earthiness.  The mouth features a boatload of fruit framed by ample acidity and a rising note of brett that adds appropriate complexity. In May of ’09 its popping out a bit more and there’s a bit more grip. Winemaker Tami Collins with Mike Loykasek from Armida consulting. GP&B in Healdsburg, 14% I’m guessing $32-40 at the winery when it was released. I think I’ve had this bottle in the cellar since last year so I’m certain this is sold out by now. De La Montanya
