Domaine de Trevallon 2005

Domaine de Trevallon, Vin de Pays des Bouches du Rhone 2005 The nose sports the sort of lively, jammy fruit that we associate with California Zinfandel. Obviously it’s not, but it is the intensity of the fruit that I am trying to get at. Along with this, you have the green essences of Cab in a green pepper and grassy vein. The mouth is quite gripping as I’ve seen in past vintages with the full complement of fruit. This is just a baby and very long. The grapes are Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. Mis a St.-Etienne du Gres 13% $33.99 at Bottle Barn
