Foley Pinot Noirs 2006

Lincourt, Santa Barbara County, Pinot Noir 2006 There’s cooked fruit, cherries and plums that you might warm through for topping your ice cream. The palate shows the follow-on in the mouth in a supple format. This wine is a compilation of fruit from the Santa Maria Valley and the Rancho Santa Rosa property that is featured on Foley’s own-labeled wines from the famous Sta. Rita Hills. Vintner William Foley II. P&B in Solvang 14.2% $30 at the winery Lincourt

Foley, Sta. Rita Hills, Rancho Santa Rosa, Pinot Noir 2006 The fruit is augmented by some musty notes and sweet vanilla. The mouth is fairly astringent and tasting of oak. There could be some low level TCA in this wine distorting the flavor as this producer is top notch in my book. P&B in Lompoc 14.3% $40 at the winery Foley
