The last time I had this wine, an earlier vintage, at the Cabernet Shootout, it was one of my top picks. Let’s see how this bottle of 2001 is showing today. There’s mint and the cigar box, bay leaf and black fruits. The palate has smoothed out and the acidity drives the flavor for a long time. Winemaker Jim Allen.
