Black fruit in a cigar box with structure to last. Sporting the expertise of the same people at Lancaster, this is the value-leaning brand of the house. 15% Merlot augments the Cabernet which is all aged in French oak for 1.5 years, 30% of which is new. Let’s see how this wine is showing 8 months later. Tonight the tannin is jutting out more than last year but the sweet oaky notes more than compensate, making this wine a big hit.
