3 Cabernet all day

Paul Hobbs Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2005
Hobbs is truly the master at producing elegant, polished Cabernet. This wine has notes of the cigar box, a kiss of oak and ripe, supple tannins. P&B in Sebastopol 14.9% $74.99 at Bottle Barn Paul Hobbs

Altamura Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2003
We recently poured the 2005 for the National Auto Dealers Association Convention in San Francisco and it was a huge hit. I was delighted to see this older vintage available at Bottle Barn and at this price. The black fruit just leaped out of the bottle when I poured the cork. There’s ripeness again in the tannin profile and refreshing and appropriate acidity. P&B in the Napa Valley 14.2% $49.69 at Bottle Barn Altamura

von Strasser Diamond Mountain District Napa Valley Estate Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2005
Rudy produces some delicious wines that show the appellation without the crazy prices of some of the neighbors. This wine features toasty oak and the tannic structure you’d expect from Diamond Mountain – a very long wine. 14.3% $55.99 at Bottle Barn von Strasser
