Dan McCoog

Wine buyer and friend of the industryToday we learned of the passing of Dan McCoog, one of the most genteel experts in the world of wine. He served a plethora of consumers in the restaurants for which he purchased wine and consulted on wine selection.

At the same time he influenced the industry through his judging at the Chronicle and other wine competitions, where his diplomatic demeanor created friends across diverse panels of industry experts.

He will be missed by his colleagues, friends and his dear spouse Jeanne Christie.
