Foppiano Chardonnay 2009

Foppiano, Russian River Valley, Estate Bottled, Chardonnay 2009 The nose features rich notes of toast and butter with ripe, tropical fruit. In the mouth, the oaky notes continue, with an accent of butter and a bit of refreshing acidity. This is a lighter-bodied Chardonnay that strides a nice balance of rich notes and freshness.

The wine was fermented in French oak, the lees were stirred regularly and 30% of the wine went through malolactic. Winemaker Natalie West. Grown, produced and bottled in Healdsburg 14.5% $22 at the winery, a media sample.
