Masi Campofiorin 2006

Masi, Rosso Del Veronese IGT, Campofiorin, Ripasso 2006 The nose features leather, cherries, fresh and dried, as well as licorice. The mouth displays tart cherries, a long thread of acidity and the complexity of an appropriate dash of brett. This wine has consistently delivered a complex mix of dried fruit and Old World leather – nice.

The grapes are mostly Corvina and this Ripasso by Masi is trademarked as Campofiorin. Produced and bottled in Ambrogio di Valpolicella using appassimento (semi-drying) and controlled ‘double fermentation’ 13% purchased for $13.99 at Traverso’s Masi
