Josh Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon 2006

Josh Cellars, Lake County, Red Hills District, Amber Knolls Vineyard, Cabernet Sauvignon 2006 This is an ebulliently fruity Cabernet, featuring blueberries, blackberries and Cassis in the nose. In the mouth it is light-bodied and quite soft, very accessible right now, where the fruit is the key feature.

There’s no need to cellar this Cab. I’d open it soon and pair it with a a red meat dish when you’re gracing the sauce with a touch of fresh berries or a dash of Port, where the fruit in the wine can reflect the fruit in the sauce.

The grapes were all organcially grown Cabernet, sourced from Amber Knolls Vineyard, which is owned and managed by the Beckstoffer family. Blended and bottled by Joseph Carr in Sonoma 14.1% $15 suggested retail, a media sample Josh Cellars
