Clif The Climber Red 2006

Clif Family Winery, California, The Climber, Red Wine 2006

PrintThis wine features a boatload of juicy fruit with the berries of Zin and the currants of Cab. The light body and soft texture make it drinkable immediately, perfect to imbibe while you’re warming up the barbecue.

The majority of the fruit was sourced from the Somerston Vineyard, 10 miles east of the Silverado Trail, planted at elevations of 1000 to 2500 feet. The grapes include 32% Zinfandel, 28% Syrah, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Merlot and 4% Petite Sirah. The wine was aged in new and used oak for 18 months.

Like the white wine reviewed earlier, this is from the people that brought us the Clif Bar. V&B in Oakville 14.7% $17 suggested retail Clif Family Winery
