Raisined fruit and pruniness combines with caramel to paint a complex picture in the nose. In the mouth it’s starting to dry out and show a bit of spiritousness as it has crested the hill and is coming down the other side. This is a Rhone-style blend is composed of Mourvedre, Syrah and Grenache. P&B in Napa 14.3% $19.95 online retail for the more recent 2004 vintage. This bottle of ’02 has been resting in the cellar.
