Charles Audoin Marsannay 2005

Domaine Charles Audoin, Marsannay, Au Champ Salomon 2005 In the nose this wine expresses minerality and toasty oak along with a little volatility. In the mouth, the acidity is quite electric, with a follow-through of minerality, a very dry Chardonnay. The vines that gave us the grapes for this wine are an average of 30 years old, growing in the vineyard Champ Salomon in Couchey. The wine was feremented and aged in barrel, 20% of which was new. Recolte et mis en bouteile a Marsannay-la-Cote 13.5% $27.99 at Bottle Barn
