Geyser Peak, Alexander Valley, Reserve Alexandre, Meritage 1999 The nose is drying out yet there is quite a bit of chocolate to enjoy. The mouth has reached a rather astringent phase, drying out. The acidity is carrying some nice elements of dried cherry along but honestly this wine has gone over the hill at year 10. Geyser Peak has been producing this wine for 25 years. It is composed of 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 39% Merlot, 8% Malbec, 5% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot, aged in French oak. P&B in Geyersville 13% $49 at the winery for the 2004 as a gauge to the price Geyser Peak
