Laurello Cabernet Franc

Laurello, Grand River Valley, Cabernet Franc nv The nose puts together the herbaceous side of Cab Franc with the black fruit character it can expound.  There’s a healthy but appealing dose of brett, giving the earthiness that might remind one of this grape’s French expressions where the brett is often seen as a complement; I think it works in this wine and I find the acidity is sharp, on point and refreshing. Drink this up in the near term, over the course of this year. P&B in Geneva, Ohio 12.5% $16 at the winery  Laurello Vineyards
