A sense of citrus

Lillet, White nv There’s a beautiful sense of citrus peel – very aromatic with alcohol in the background. It’s sweet but not too much so. Serve it over a few ice cubes.

This latest bottling in 2010 is vibrantly fresh and the best I’ve ever experienced. P&B in Podensac in the Gironde, about 20 miles south of Bordeaux 17% $17.99 at Bottle Barn in the past, down to $15.99 in November ’08 and holding steady in the July 2010.

The newest bottling features a special label featuring a modern version of the Lillet muse, created for the summer of 2010.
