Ruggeri Argeo Prosecco nv

Not much concentration and very little sense of Prosecco bubble gum qualities – disappointing 11% $14.99 at Traveso’s

Ruggeri Prosecco di Valdobbiadene DOC Santo Stefano Dry nv

Sweet with classic bubble gum flavors. Latest bottle was unfortunately corked.  This wine is mostly Prosecco with some Verdiso and Perera sourced from Santo Stefano, San Pietro di Barbozza and Saccol. The wine undergoes a cool ferment without the skins as with other sparklers. The secondary fermentation is also cool and done in tank, not bottle, preserving freshness as opposed to adding the complexity of extended aging on the lees in classic champenoise production 11% $17.99 at Traverso’s

The Bisol family been making wine in the region since the 16th Century. Both of these wines were vinified at the family’s winemaking facility in the village of Santo Stefano in Valdobbiadene ruggeri.it
