In the mouth this wine is dense yet supple, with ripe tannins and lots of jammy black fruit &#8211; quite yummy.<\/p>\n<p>The Salanques estate sits at 350 metres above sea level. The grapes behind this wine are sourced mostly from Garnacha and Carinena vines, 70 &#8211; 90 years old, with a bit of Merlot and Cabernet that was newly planted.<\/p>\n<p>The wine was aged in French oak barrels for 12 months.
