I made my notes after lecturing a bit so they sat in the glasses for about 40 minutes before I started typing.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Innocent Bystander, Victoria, Pinot  Noir 2008 <\/strong>The cherry fruit is delightful, combining a sense of freshly-picked cherries and the sweetness of those baked in a pie.\u00a0 In the mouth the structure shows albeit in a ripe and accessible way with long acidity &#8211; very nice and certainly a value. Produced and bottled under a screwcap  closure in Healesville 14.1%  purchased for $13.99 at Bottle Barn <a title=\"Innocent Bystander\" href=\"http:\/\/www.innocentbystander.com.au\/\" target=\"_blank\">Innocent   Bystander<\/a><\/p>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Oyster Bay, Marlborough, Pinot Noir 2008 <\/strong>The nose is a bit musty and not as vibrant as I would expect from this producer. In the mouth it is a bit astringent and on the lighter side. 13.5% purchased for $14.49 at Bottle Barn  <a title=\"Oyster Bay\" href=\"http:\/\/www.oysterbaywines.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Oyster Bay<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Amisfield, Central Otago, Pinot Noir 2006 <\/strong>There&#8217;s almost a jammy character to the fruit in the nose of this wine, vibrant and showing a mix of fresh and dried character. In the mouth it is packed with flavor, dense and structured, still a baby with long acidity &#8211; very nice. Produced in Queenstown 13.9%  purchased for $31.99 at Bottle Barn <a title=\"Amisfield\" href=\"http:\/\/www.amisfield.co.nz\/\" target=\"_blank\">Amisfield<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>All three of the wines in this flight were bottled under screwcap closures.
