In the mouth this wine is supple and the oaky expression continues with a nice thread of acidity.The wine was aged in French oak for 2 years, 50% of which was new and 50% of which was once-filled barrels. Levendi, Napa Valley, Stagecoach Vineyard, Cabernet Sauvignon 2005 <\/strong>Give the nose a chance to open up, 10-15 minutes in the glass and the black fruit starts to shine. In the mouth you’ll find tart berry fruit, light body and a very supple texture. The wine was aged in French oak for 20 months and 50% of the oak was new. Winemaker Alison Green Doran. Produced & bottled in Napa 14.5% $70 at the winery, a gift to the class from the SFCWC Levendi Estates<\/a><\/p>\n

Sequoia Grove, Rutherford, Napa Valley, Rutherford Bench Reserve, Cabernet Sauvignon 2005 <\/strong>There is a purity of fruit in the nose, cherry tobacco and a touch of green herbs, reminiscent of Bordeaux leafiness. In the mouth this wine combines structure and fruit, balancing the New and Old Worlds, with great length – very nice.<\/p>\n

Rounding out the final blend there is 8% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Franc, 2% Petit Verdot and 1% Malbec. The wine aged for 21 months in French oak, 60% of which was new.
