The aromatics are dampened and the mouth is astringent. A sense of the dosage is the only element coming through.<\/p>\n<p>I was concerned when I removed the foil from the top of the bottle. The smell of TCA was quite apparent. I removed the wire cage and found an agglomerated cork, making me more nervous. The final straw was the experience of the wine in the glass. A great disappointment in bottle number one and number two.<\/p>\n<p>The grapes behind this wine are the classic three from Champagne, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. A recent harvest serves as the base wine to which 10-20% reserves are added.
