This works as a budget Barbera though won&#8217;t delight very many people as it lacks concentration.  13% the 2003 was only $9.99 at Bottle Barn and the 2005 was an importer sample <a title=\"Michele Chiarlo\" href=\"http:\/\/www.chiarlo.it\" target=\"_blank\">chiarlo.it<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Matteo Correggia Barbera d&#8217;Alba DOC 2004<\/strong><br \/>\nHerbaceous light body and some chemical notes that could be hinting at sulphur issues.  The previous 2 bottles earlier in the year were rather funk-struck as well and didn&#8217;t go down well with the class. Today the wine in July &#8217;08 has settle down and the fruit is coming uncovered and the acidity is textbook.
