The Roederer embraces a high acid framework that is very crisp while the Mumm goes for a softer approach with a more visible hint of RS in the background. Different animals and I like them both.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Roederer Estate, Anderson Valley, Brut Rose nv <\/strong>The grapes behind this wine are 40% Chardonnay and 60% Pinot Noir. In the final assemblage before the secondary fermentation, there is a small lot of 5% Pinot Noir that saw extended maceration, giving the wine its color. Also included is 10% &#8211; 20% oak aged reserves. The wine does not go through malolactic and spends 2 years en tirage. Dosage is 1.2% yet imperceptible with a pH of 3.0. P&amp;B in Philo 12% purchased for $23.49 at Bottle Barn <a title=\"Roederer Estate\" href=\"http:\/\/www.roedererestate.com\" target=\"_blank\">Roederer Estate<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Mumm Napa, Napa Valley, Blanc de Noirs nv <\/strong>As with the Roederer, the process is methode traditionnelle.
