GP&amp;B in Paso Robles 14.6% $47.99 at Bottle Barn <a href=\"http:\/\/www.justinwine.com\" title=\"Justin\" target=\"_blank\">Justin<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Chateau Leoville Las Cases Saint-Julien 2004 <\/strong><br \/>\nEarth and oak intertwine in a complex mix of smells.  There is plenty of structure in this youthful Bordeaux. The acidity drives great length. The tannins are ripe, not as in the California sense, but definitely showing an elegant side of Bordeaux. From the Delon family, this is truly a Super Second. Planted to 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 19% Merlot, 13% Cab Franc and 3% Petit Verdot. Mis a Saint-Julien 13% $126 at Bottle Barn<\/p>\n<p><strong>Opus One Napa Valley Red Wine 2004<\/strong><br \/>\nBerries and oak are talking together in the nose of this vintage of Opus. The typical brett is toned down to accent fruit profile of this wine that is surrounded by a tannic, almost astringent suit. P&amp;B in Oakville 14.1% $159.95 at Traverso&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.opusonewinery.com\" title=\"Opus One\" target=\"_blank\">Opus One<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Napanook Napa Valley Red Wine 2004<\/strong><br \/>\nFresh cherries and berries are out front in this value wine from Dominus; it is quite approachable and ready to drink. From Mr. Moueix at Dominus, more than a second, perhaps a California Super Second.
