The mouth sports chocolate and caramel with a strong but appropriate sense of the brandy that was added.\u00a0 The grapes are 97% Tinta Cao and Touriga Francesca, grown near Plymouth in Amador County and 3% Touriga Nacional from Madera County. The grapes averaged 24 brix at harvest and the wine was bottled in 1998.
