In the fall of &#8217;08 I noted:\u00a0 there&#8217;s a sense of gooseberries, candied tropical fruits and a little bell pepper. The fruitiness comes through even more so on the palate in a refreshingly dry yet not austere way.<\/p>\n<p>The grapes were picked in mid-August and treated to a 24 hour cold soak after crushing. After that the wine fermented in stainless only. This has been a consistent winner in the &#8216;pull no punches&#8217; vein of Sauvignon and the brand has been a leader in alternative closures. This is bottled under a screwcap.
